Information regarding data transfers to the USA and other third countries
Some of the tools used by us are from companies with head office in the USA or other third countries that are unsafe in terms of data protection. When these tools are activated, your personal data can be transferred to, and processed in, these third countries. Please note that no data protection standard comparable with the EU can be guaranteed in these countries. US companies, for example, must disclose personal data to security agencies without you, the data subject, being able to take court action against such procedures. It can therefore not be ruled out that US authorities (e.g. secret services) process, analyse and permanently store your data stored on US servers for surveillance services. We cannot influence these processing activities.
Revocation of your consent to the processing of your data
Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You may revoke your consent at any time with future effect. The data processed before we receive your request may still be legally processed.
Right to object to data collection in special cases and to direct advertising (Art. 21 GDPR)
IF THE DATA IS PROCESSED ON THE BASIS OF ART. 6 (1) LIT. E OR F GDPR, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT TO THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA AT ANY TIME FOR REASONS ARISING FROM YOUR SPECIFIC SITUATION. THIS ALSO APPLIES WITH REGARD TO ANY PROFILING BASED ON THESE PROVISIONS. THE RESPECTIVE LEGAL BASES OF THE PROCESSING ACTIVITIES ARE STATED IN THE PRIVACY POLICY. IF YOU OBJECT, WE SHALL NO LONGER PROCESS YOUR AFFECTED PERSONAL DATA, UNLESS WE CAN PROVE COMPELLING, PROTECTABLE REASONS FOR THE PROCESSING ACTIVITIES THAT OUTWEIGH YOUR INTERESTS, RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS, OR THE PROCESSING ACTIVITIES SERVE TO ASSERT, ENFORCE OR DEFEND LEGAL CLAIMS (OBJECTION IN ACCORDANCE WITH ART. 21 (1) GDPR).
IF YOUR PERSONAL DATA IS PROCESSED FOR DIRECT ADVERTISING PURPOSES, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT AT ANY TIME TO THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA FOR SUCH ADVERTISING PURPOSES. THIS ALSO APPLIES WITH REGARD TO PROFILING INSOFAR AS IT IS CONNECTED TO SUCH DIRECT ADVERTISING. IF YOU OBJECT, YOUR PERSONAL DATA SHALL NO LONGER BE USED FOR DIRECT ADVERTISING PURPOSES (OBJECTION IN ACCORDANCE WITH ART. 21 (2) GDPR).
Right to file complaints with regulatory authorities
In the event of violations of the GDPR, the affected data subjects have the right to complain to a regulatory authority, particularly in the member state where they habitually reside and/or work or in the place of the alleged violation. The right to complain exists regardless of other legal appeals under administrative law or before the courts.
Right to data portability
You have the right to have data which we process based on your consent or in fulfilment of a contract automatically delivered to yourself or to a third party in a standard, machine-readable format. If you require the direct transfer of data to another responsible party, this will only be done to the extent technically feasible.
SSL or TLS encryption
This site uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and for the protection of the transmission of confidential content, such as the inquiries you send to us as the site operator. You can recognize an encrypted connection in your browser's address line when it changes from "http://" to "https://" and the lock icon is displayed in your browser's address bar.
If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transfer to us cannot be read by third parties.
Information, deletion and correction
As permitted by law, you have the right to be provided at any time with information free of charge about any of your personal data that is stored as well as its origin, the recipient and the purpose for which it has been processed. You also have the right to have this data corrected or deleted. You can contact us at any time if you have further questions about this issue and the topic of personal data.
Right to restrict processing
You have the right to request for the processing of your personal data to be restricted. You can contact us at any time for this purpose. You have the right to restrict processing in the following circumstances;
- If you dispute the correctness of your personal data stored by us, we usually require time to check such claim. For the duration of this check, you have the right to request for the processing of your personal data to be restricted.
- If your personal data was/is processed illegitimately, you can request for the data processing activities to be restricted instead of the data being deleted.
- When we no longer require your personal data, but you require it for exercising, defending or asserting legal claims, you have the right to request for the processing of your personal data to be restricted instead of the data being deleted.
- If you have raised an objection in accordance with Art. 21 (1) GDPR, your and our interests have to be weighed up against each other. As long as it has not been ascertained whose interests outweigh whose, you have the right to request for the processing of your personal data to be restricted.
If you have restricted the processing of your personal data, this data may only be processed – with the exception of their storage – with your consent or to assert, enforce or defend legal claims or to protect the rights of another natural person or legal entity or for reasons of an important public interest of the European Union or one of its member states.
Objection to promotional emails
We hereby expressly prohibit the use of contact data published in the context of website legal notice requirements with regard to sending promotional and informational materials not expressly requested. The website operator reserves the right to take specific legal action if unsolicited advertising material, such as email spam, is received.
External links
We use external links that point at other websites, including such where it cannot be ruled out that data is processed in unsafe third countries. They can be recognised as such. When you click on an external link, the target website processes your personal data. The IP address is processed in any event. The browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, hostname of the accessing computer and time of server query may also be processed.
3. Data collection on this website
Cookies
Our web pages use cookies. These are small text files that do not damage your device. They are installed temporarily for the duration of one session (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies) on your device. Session cookies are automatically deleted after your visit. Permanent cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them or your browser deletes them automatically.
Cookies can sometimes also be installed on your device by third parties when you enter our website (third party cookies). This enables us or you to use certain services of the third-party company (e.g. cookies for processing payment services).
Cookies have various functions. Numerous cookies are technically required as certain website functions would not work without them (e.g. the basket function or video displays). Other cookies serve to analyse user behaviour or display advertising.
Cookies that are required (essential cookies) for performing the electronic communication process or for providing certain functions required by you (functional cookies, e.g. for the basket function) or for optimising the website (e.g. cookies for measuring visitors) are stored on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR, unless another legal basis is specified. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of cookies to ensure an optimized service provided free of technical errors. If consent for the storage of cookies has been requested, the respective cookies are stored exclusively on the basis of this consent (Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR). This consent can be withdrawn at any time.
You can configure your browser to inform you about the use of cookies so that you can decide on a case-by-case basis whether to accept or reject a cookie. Alternatively, your browser can be configured to automatically accept cookies under certain conditions or to always reject them, or to automatically delete cookies when closing your browser. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of this website.
If third-party cookies or cookies for analysis purposes are used, you will be informed about this separately within the scope of this Privacy Policy and your consent may be requested.

Mandatory legal storage obligations remain unaffected. Usercentrics is used to obtain the legally required consent for the use of certain technologies. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c DSGVO.
Order processing
We have concluded an order processing agreement (AVV) for the use of the above-mentioned service. This is a contract required by data protection law, which ensures that this processes the personal data of our website visitors only according to our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.

4. Social media
Facebook plugins (like and share button)
Plugins of the social network Facebook are integrated in this website. The provider of this service is Facebook Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland. According to the information provided by Facebook, the collected data is, however, also transferred to the USA and other third countries.
You can recognise the Facebook plugins by the Facebook logo or “Like” button on this website. Go here for an overview of the Facebook plugins: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/?locale=de_DE.
When you visit this website, the plugin creates a direct link between your browser and the Facebook server. This provides Facebook with the information that you have visited this website with your IP address. When you click on the Facebook “Like” button whilst logged into your Facebook account, you can link the contents of this website with your Facebook profile. As a result, Facebook can allocate your visit of this website to your user account. Please note that we, as the provider of the website, do not obtain any knowledge of the content of the transferred data nor its use by Facebook. For further information on this topic, go to Facebook’s privacy policy at https://de-de.facebook.com/privacy/explanation.
Please log out of your Facebook user account if you do not wish for Facebook to allocate your website visit to your Facebook user account.
The use of the Facebook plugins is based on Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in a comprehensive presence on social media. If corresponding consent has been requested, the processing is exclusively based on Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR. This consent can be withdrawn at any time.
If personal data is collected on our website and transferred to Facebook with the help of the tool described above, we and Facebook Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland, are jointly responsible for the data processing activities (Art. 26 GDPR). However, the joint responsibility is exclusively limited to the collection of the data and transfer to Facebook. The processing of the data by Facebook after the transfer does not form part of the joint responsibility. Our joint responsibilities have been stipulated in an agreement on the joint processing activities. You can read this agreement here: https://www.facebook.com/legal/controller_addendum. According to this agreement, we are responsible for providing the data protection information when using the Facebook tool and for implementing the tool on our website in a manner that ensures data security. Facebook is responsible for the data security of the Facebook products. You can assert your rights as a data subject (e.g. right to information) regarding the data processed by Facebook directly with Facebook. If you assert your rights as a data subject with us, we are obliged to forward your claim to Facebook.
The data transfer to the USA is based on the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission. Go here for details: https://www.facebook.com/legal/EU_data_transfer_addendum, https://de-de.facebook.com/help/566994660333381 and https://www.facebook.com/policy.php.

5. Analysis tools and advertising
Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service. The provider is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
Google Analytics enables the website operator to analyse the behaviour of website visitors. The website operator receives various user data, such as pages accessed, length of stay, operating system and user origin. Google may compile this data in a profile that is allocated to the respective user and/or their device.
We can also record your mouse and scrolling movements and clicks with Google Analytics. Google Analytics also uses various modelling approaches to supplement the collected data sets as well as machine learning technology for the data analyses.
Google Analytics uses technologies that make it possible to recognise the user for the purpose of analysing the user’s behaviour (e.g. cookies or device fingerprinting). The information collected by Google about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.
The use of this analysis tool is used based on Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour to optimise both its website and its advertising. If corresponding consent has been requested (e.g. consent for the storage of cookies), the processing is exclusively based on Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR. This consent can be withdrawn at any time.
The data transfer to the USA is based on the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission. Go here for details: https://privacy.google.com/businesses/controllerterms/mccs/.
IP anonymisation
We have activated the IP anonymisation feature on this website. Your IP address will be shortened by Google within the European Union or other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area prior to transmission to the United States. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address sent to a Google server in the US and shortened there. Google will use this information on behalf of the operator of this website to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide other services regarding website activity and Internet usage for the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with any other data held by Google.
Browser plugin
You can block Google from collecting and processing your data by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at this link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.
For more information about how Google Analytics handles user data, see Google's privacy policy: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de.
Order processing
We have entered into an agreement with Google for the outsourcing of our data processing and fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.
Storage period
User and event data stored by Google that is linked with cookies, user IDs or advertising IDs (e.g. double-click cookies, Android advertising ID) is anonymised or deleted after two months. For details, go to: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/7667196?hl=de
6. Plugins and tools
YouTube with extended data protection
This website integrates YouTube videos. The provider of the pages is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
We use YouTube in extended data protection mode. According to YouTube, this mode ensures that YouTube does not store any information on the visitors of this website prior to watching a video. However, the extended data protection mode does not necessarily rule out the transfer of data to YouTube partners. YouTube creates a link to the Google double-click network, regardless if you watch a video or not.
A connection to the YouTube servers is created as soon as you start a YouTube video on this website. The YouTube server is informed about our pages you have visited during this process. If you are logged into your YouTube account, you enable YouTube to directly allocate your surfing behaviour to your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.
Once a video has started, YouTube can also store various cookies on your device or use similar recognition technologies (e.g. device fingerprinting). YouTube can thus obtain information about your visit to this website. This information is used for actions such as recording video statistics, improving user friendliness and preventing attempted fraud.
Additional data processing activities may be triggered after starting a YouTube video. We do not have any influence on these.
We use YouTube to create appealing website contents. This constitutes a justified interest pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. f DSGVO. If corresponding consent has been requested, the processing is exclusively based on Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR. This consent can be withdrawn at any time.
For further information on YouTube’s privacy policy, go to https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de.
Google Maps
This site uses the Google Maps map service. The provider is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
To use Google Maps, it is necessary to save your IP address. This information is generally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The provider of this site has no influence on this data transfer. When Google Maps is active, Google may use Google Web Fonts for the purpose of a standardised font display. When accessing Google Maps, your browser loads the required web fonts in your browser cache to correctly display texts and fonts.
The use of Google Maps is in the interest of making our website appealing and to facilitate the location of places specified by us on the website. This constitutes a justified interest pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. f DSGVO. If corresponding consent has been requested, the processing is exclusively based on Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR. This consent can be withdrawn at any time.
The data transfer to the USA is based on the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission. Go here for details: https://privacy.google.com/businesses/gdprcontrollerterms/ and https://privacy.google.com/businesses/gdprcontrollerterms/sccs/.
Further information about handling user data can be found in the data protection declaration of Google at: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de.
